Recently heard interviews and read books by some of the super group, seems " for those who stand long" Led Zeppelin. "didn't" the amount of value creep is astonishing, seems the mainstream sucks almost everybody in eventually. Everybody needs to see or re-see Zeitgeist, Zeitgeist Addendum and Zeitgeist Moving Forward, Dirty Wars, Inequality for All, Woodstock (not the directors version) and Pink Floyd Live in Pompei (not the directors cut) !!! And of course read : Sacred Pleasure; by Rianne Eisler, Sex at Dawn; by Ratha and Ryan, and a few other foundational works of the Third Wave : A. Toefler, Dancing Wu li Masters, Critical Path Buckminster Fuller, Human Scale : Kirkpatrick Sales, Evolution of Cooperation by Robert Axelrod, just for starters again , if not known, read if so re-read.
Seems like a lot of silly lists of media, but really if you wish to every find freedom from this insanity known as the real world, you need to understand, then act. I'm writing this because recently I've heard from these x heros and friends who don't understand what they used to. or did they ever ? Was it all just following the herd ? Whether right or wrong ? The herd is heading off the cliff and I'm not going with them. Velociraptors had their day, doesn't mean they didn't go extinct !! The hyper competitive monopoly game has a definite end and it IS in sight now.
Haven't been on here in a long time, as I'm in a new job for money myself , such a irony, and catch 22, that i need money to get beyond the need for it, not by having a big stash , but by buying and building the self-sufficient systems they allow me and those around me to get off the supreme addiction: money. AS outlined before in Civilization paper, the civilization mode has evolved from hunter/ gatherer; hide and seek to agricultural civilization of the kings chess game, and now into the industrial civilization of mega money monopoly, it is at its end too and now we need to move into the electronic civilization of cooperation. We are all one race on one planet and we must all get along or we will go extinct. Domination by Violence must end as the solution to conflicts and as the principle operation mechanism on all social levels. We must move from law of the jungle, kill or be killed, to the law of the garden; all will be cared for. Or go extinct. We have no other real choices. That is what will happen, so why not at least try for change and the new mode ? Solar/ hydrogen replaces fossil fuels, Direct Democracy replaces representational democracy , Electronic Exchange replaces capitalism, High speed trains replace airplanes and car commutes, Robotics replaces paid slavery, and Female / Male equality and natural sexual roles replaces male domination by violence.
So have a nice time , writing when I can later, as I'm Over the Road in Trucks its far and few times when I can get online. but for the record " I'm still with it " PF.
