Moving Forward: walk this way....

Moving Forward is fantastic ! The new edition to the Zeitgeist movies is presented in a much more mainstream friendly way. Having the animations for the Monopoly Game and the interviews with leading scientists such as Sapolsky , a world class professor who is featured in the National Geographic program: STRESS (which is shown to be a killer, as it is inherent in domination/violence societies) creates a movie which is a less dark documentary which, for most, easy to turn away from, to a narrative of easy to grasp explanations. The primitive "might is right" and "wealth has the right" philosophy of operation which has ruled the world from empires of violence and exploitation throughout the thousands of years of human civilization is now clearly destroying the planet and us. We now can switch to the superior philosophy of sharing/love organization. Great philosophers and prophets like Socrates, Jesus and Buddha have said from all times that we could turn away from violence and oppression, but it takes the very threat of extinction to get us to change, well , some of us. Like birds and dinosaurs, some will try hard to grow wings and learn to fly and most will like the tyrannasaurus of global corporatocracy refuse to look at reality, choosing to only associate with social group old think. We need to think in a new way, experience consciousness in a new way , the whole being. The being of the planet and all life and all humanity as in harmony.
"What the Bleep" has shown with quantum mechanics that we are all one, and "Global Brain" has shown that to form a single cell organism, a brain, or a global society a number around 10 billion creates the complexity necessary to create a higher functioning organizational reality of "ONE" new entity on the new higher level. As Moving Forward shows we can now create a new global human organization which is sustainable, fair and wonderfully advanced with high levels of love, technology and ecological balance.
The next steps for each of us are; how can we further the understanding and how can we start creating it ? By having these movies we can spread the understandings to many. To create it.... well..... between the understanding, the enlightenment, and the new organization of civilization, is a very messy and unclear area. In evolution of species such as the fish to amphibians to reptiles to mammals, and in the evolution of civilization types as the hunter/gatherers to agricultural to industrial; it is always a small group making the change first before the growth and adoption of the majority. Most people are concerned with following the social order, being in conformity with it, not with being creative and going off on a new social value system. That is why the first steps toward the Future by Design will be taken I believe by small groups forming model ecotowns in which the new values of efficiency, justice, and freedom can be lived. In which the social and environmental values can be nurtured with local production and a coherent social group. The designs for solar architecture, solar electricity , electronic exchange, organic gardening, electric transportation, media studios, clothing and furniture shops and so on. I believe that just like Edison with the light bulb, or Bell with the telephone, people don't believe it is worth investing themselves in unless it is already proven to work in at least one case.
If civilization goes through a period of World War , deep economic collapse, natural disasters, and so on ecotowns would be like lifeboats of knowledge and tools to recreate civilization on a higher level , just as the monasteries did for the knowledge of the Greek and Roman civilizations which was lost for hundreds of years. The ecotowns set up around the world could be the network for larger growth, all the way up to space stations and ocean cities. It is so much easier to construct the new than to remodel the old architecture and social structures of the capitalistic/industrial establishment institutions of: academia, the military, corporate, government and residential cultural geography. The limits to growth and limitations by laws, customs, regulations, inspections, etc. disallow fundamental change in the established cities. Some new civilization futurists can "hide in the crowd" in current mega-cities where the monopoly board is now, with most of the money, expertise, entertainment, and infrastructure, yet they are the least capable of really deep fundamental change to new architectural and social forms. Evolution works by starting small and then growing; from a single fertilized cell to trillions in a baby, and from a new prototype individual mutation to a population with the new trait, evolution works by moving from the small to the large. So I think it is unlikely that a wholescale revolt/revolution, dropping out of the monetary system, throwing away our current houses, buildings, family, friends, and work relations which are clinging to the old system will just occur at some breakpoint. I think at a breakpoint it is already to late to build the lifeboat. Another analogy is that as we are like the Titanic on a collision course with destiny, we need to get the lifeboats ready now. When the trouble hits, it will be panic and confusion, not a clear understanding by all to start building the gleaming city of ecotopia. A small ecotown which is self-sufficient seems to me the way to proceed now toward  the civilization of the Future by Design which the Venus Project so clearly shows. Please see the movie: Moving Forward at zeitgeistmovie.com and see thevenusproject.com ( the awareness 1-4 and blogs are fantastic). Thx Theodore P. S. I've started writing stories and documents for the Kindle Store ! Look me up, thx, Theodore Desmarais : )
